About the FMCG Sales Officer & Area Territory Manager Role
FMCG Sales Officers are the commercial drivers of consumer packaged goods, ensuring that packaged foods, personal care products, and household essentials reach every neighborhood kirana store and supermarket shelf. In this field leadership role, you will oversee an assigned geographic territory, managing relationships with authorized stockists and retail distributors.
You will travel your assigned beat daily, verify distributor stock levels, place primary replenishment orders, track retailer secondary sales throughput, and ensure prominent shelf visibility for promotional SKUs. Energetic relationship management and quota focus are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate a designated network of FMCG distributors and retail stockists
- Conduct daily beat visits to general trade and modern trade retail outlets
- Achieve monthly primary order targets and facilitate secondary retail sales velocity
- Negotiate premium shelf space, endcap displays, and brand visibility in high-traffic stores
- Resolve distributor billing queries, return claims, and credit balance reconciliations
Candidate Eligibility & Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Marketing is a plus
- 2 to 5 years experience in FMCG general trade or beverage distribution
- Thorough understanding of distributor margins, schemes, and primary/secondary sales metrics
- Valid two-wheeler and willingness to travel daily field routes
